Radtke Bass Trail
2024 Team Tournament Rules.
New Rule for 2024:
If you have been disqualified or removed from any Bass tournament other than Radtke you are not able to fish the Radtke Bass Trail.
• Unless otherwise indicated B.A.S.S. rules will be used at all tournaments. Nets are allowed
• 1. Registration will start 60 Minutes before tournament and will end 15 minutes prior to the start of the tournament. All entrants must be registered and pass a boat and safety check prior to launching. All boats must be checked when launched. Any boat failing to do so will be disqualified. All boats leaving the lake prior to the finish of the tournament will be disqualified from that day’s tournament. All Boats will Have full lid inspection, on the two day event.
• 2. All boats must have an aerated live well or cooler, live wells need to work!!!! Life vest for each contestant and fishing licenses for each contestant.
• 3. Only largemouth and smallmouth bass may be weighed in. Only 5 fish per boat with a (12) inch minimum size limit. All fish will be measured on a flat rule, closed mouth to tip of tail fin in a natural state, in & at the weigh tub. (Hudson River 15")
• 4. A five fish limit per boat (team) will be enforced. No more that 5 fish may be in live well at one time. Only when culling of a fish, #6 fish
• 5. Short fish- A short fished weighed in will result in an 8 oz penalty 1/2 of pound. No weight for the short fish. NO weight will be added.
• 6. Dead fish- A dead fish weighed in will result in an 4 oz penalty of the weight of the fish being scored. No culling of dead fish. Dead fish Can not be weighed in for Lunker Prize.
A. If fish is in question about being dead or alive. The fish needs to show life. The said fish needs to swim away on its own to be alive. Or Radtke will make the Call.
B. Dead fish can not be weighed in for lunker.
• 7. No live bait may be used or possessed. All fish must be caught on artificial lures only.
• 8. All fish must be taken by sport fishing methods. Trolling and the calculated foul hooking of fish is not permitted.
• 9. No more than one rod per person is permitted to be used at one time. Landing nets will be permitted.
• 10. No fishing within 100 Feet of a spot locked angler , power poled down or anchored boat. Be respectful of other anglers. Be respectful of other anglers at all times.
• 11. All fishing must be done from within the boat. No leaving the boat for any reason. One person may leave to use a restroom or tree only. No other exceptions No fishing when your team partner is out of the boat using the restroom.****** text Nick Radtke for emergency Reasons. 845-222-0174
• 12. All boats must remain in the water before being weighed in. Unless told otherwise. Not the Hudson River
• 13. Late penalty- A (1) One pound penalty will be given for every minute late and disqualification after 5 minutes of check in time.
• 14. Winners will be determined by the total weight of the angler / team catch. The Tournament Director will determine the means of breaking a tie. First, Ties will be broken by heaviest fish.
• 15. All competitors are expected to follow high standards of sportsmanship, courtesy, conservation and to follow all of the New York Game and Boating Laws.
• 16. Boaters must comply with all state and local safety requirements.
• 17. Any disputes or protests must be registered with the tournament director Nick Radtke prior to the start of the weigh in. All decisions of the tournament director and his committee Tourus Lopez will be final.
• 18. All tournaments entrants are required to have a clear understanding of all tournament rules. Any infractions of a rule may cause disqualification. All entry fees are non- refundable.
• 19. All tournament entrants must wear their life jackets while their gas engines are in gear!!!
• 20. Pre Register two weeks before each tournament check or, CASH ONLY AT RAMP.
• 21. After weighing in your fish, all fish need to be put back in lake carefully and properly. No throwing of fish back into lake.
• 22. All fish become the property of Radtke Bass Trail and will be immediately returned to the waters. No exceptions. Don’t ask.
• 26. Umbrella rigs are allowed..
• 27. Landing Nets Are Permitted.
• 28. Failure to adhere to rules will be cause for disqualification, (all tournament fees and launch fees will be forfeited if disqualified)
• 29. There will be a time check and briefing of pertinent rules prior to the start of each event

**Participants understand that Radtke Bass Trail exits solely for the recreational enjoyment of fishing and all participants understand they are invited guest to many of the fishing locations. Participants must fill out an annual tournament season form which includes a liability waiver and guarantee of maintaining a Minimum of $100,000 boater’s liability insurance on any boat used to participate in Radtke Bass Trail.

- 31. Off limits: two (2) days before each tournament there will be no fishing or team members on the body of water. All Events other than Hudson River. Hudson doest apply
- 32. special events 30 boat max .Please get there early to register.
- 33. No Refunds available after early registration deadline on the two events that are Guaranteed prize money.
